INNOVATIVE MINDSET
8 Min

We’re addicted to pushing the boundaries of technology, engineering and design. Our dedication to R&D and unique technology-agnostic approach enables us to drive down costs, optimize performance and expand the market for clean energy that is dispatchable, more reliable than fossil fuel plants, and available day or night.

Proven Partner

We look at power production through the eyes of utilities, corporates, landowners, communities and investors, then we tailor every project to maximize value across the board. Together, we’re shifting longstanding perceptions around renewable energy and bringing “smart generation” to the 21st century grid.

Flawless Execution

Our laser focus on utility-scale solar and energy storage enables us to consistently deliver projects from concept to completion – and to shatter industry records in the process. From the largest solar cluster in the U.S. to the lowest-cost solar-plus-storage PPA in history, 8minute is setting a new standard of excellence.

Shaping the Future of Energy 8minute designs and engineers the efficient, custom-optimized solar power plants at the foundation of the clean energy transition. Our best-in-class team analyzes the unique complexities of every project and optimizes each aspect to reduce electricity costs while improving grid reliability and resilience. Today, 8minute has more than 18 gigawatts (GW) of solar power and 24 gigawatt-hours (GWh) of energy storage under development throughout California, Texas and the Southwestern United States—enough to power the lives of about 20 million Americans, day and night. We’re committed to shaping a world where communities of all sizes can benefit from clean energy at a lower cost than from fossil fuel generation.

Eland Solar & Storage Center

Eland Solar & Storage Center is the lowest-cost solar and energy storage project in the country. Designed to deliver clean energy both day and night, Eland will strengthen grid operations for the Los Angeles Department of Water and Power (LADWP) and deliver low-cost energy to nearly one million people in the Cities of Los Angeles and Glendale.
